The Law Was Fulfilled in Love

After days of prayer and meditation on Scripture, I was reminded of something I learned long ago:

The Old Testament—especially God’s Law, including but not limited to the Ten Commandments—exists to reveal the GRACE AND MERCY of Elohim through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

When you truly read and reflect on the Law, one thing becomes clear:

As human beings, it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to keep it perfectly.

And that’s the point.

In Matthew 5, Yeshua says that He did not come to destroy the Law, but to FULFILL it.

Fulfill means to complete.

Yeshua completed the Law by embodying its righteousness and revealing its deeper spiritual intent.

Any guesses what that deeper intent is?

If you’ve been following my messages, you probably already know:

LOVE, MERCY, AND TRUTH!

Far too many Christians—“Christ-In” people—are still trying to live under the Law. Often, they try to pull others into that same struggle.

But if we truly believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, and that He rose from the grave, then we must also believe that through Him, both prophecy and the Law were FULFILLED.

COMPLETED!

The Old Testament serves as both a historical record and the introduction to the most epic love story ever written:

The Gospel of Jesus Christ, revealed through the first four books of the New Testament.

Yeshua condemned hypocrisy, pride, judgment, greed, exploitation, rejection of truth, rejection of love, and leading others into sin.

He warned us about pride so that we would remember to give all glory and thanks to Elohim.

But Yeshua did not condemn women because of their roles.

He did not condemn people living in poverty, people who were sick, or people who were suffering.

He did not condemn cultural differences and customs, people outside the religious circle, doubt and questioning, divination, LGBTQ people, people who honor nature, people who use plants as medicine, or people of a different race or color.

He loved them all.

The harshest words Yeshua ever spoke were not directed toward the “sinners”—which includes every one of us.

His harshest words were directed toward those who JUDGED them.

Whatever negativity you are carrying—SHAME, GUILT, FEAR, OR ANGER—remember:

That is NOT OF GOD!

Whether you are leaving a Sunday service or finishing time spent with a “Christ-In” friend, if you walk away filled with shame, guilt, fear, or anger, please understand that those burdens do not come from Yeshua.

They come from the ADVERSARY.

Through the blood of Christ, that human-made condemnation ends.

Yeshua’s truth leads to FREEDOM, LOVE, AND PEACE.

Never condemnation.

Amen and Aho.
